Our shelter serves as a transport location for the Shenandoah Valley Spay & Neuter Clinic. Every two weeks the clinic sends a van to the SPCA, picks up animals to be sterilized, and brings them to their clinic in Harrisonburg. They stay the night, and are brought back the next morning for their owners to pick up.
Prices for Spay Virginia are as follows. These prices include a processing and transportation fee and are subject to change.
*An extra fee of $25 will be added if the animal weighs more than 50 pounds.
Animals that use the Spay Virginia program must either have a current rabies vaccine or receive one at the time they are sterilized.
Interested persons should come in to the SPCA to fill out an admission form. Forms and payment are due one week before the transport date, but may be taken care of at any point up until that time. We recommend coming in as soon as you've decided to use the program, as space is limited.
