An Evening
of Divas, Delicacies and Debauchery (DDD)
was
held on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at the Old Town Event
Center in Winchester at 8:00pm. We had local
celebrities (including Chris Mitchell From Q102, Brian
Bircher, Scott Cullers, Chuck Getty, Bruce Downing and
Cortney Maddox) “dressed in drag” and competing in a beauty
pageant for the distinguished title of “Reigning Diva 2008.”
A $30 ticket fee included an open bar with beer, wine and
non-alcoholic beverages, as well as many tasty “delicacies”.
Not to mention, an unforgettable evening of laughter and
fun! There was also a silent auction and winners
took home their purchases that evening.

Winchester
Star photo by Rick Foster
Story reprinted with permission of The Winchester Star |
Margo Bach, who manages the office of the Society for the
Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Winchester,
shows off three young residents of the local shelter. Their
charm can’t be denied, but neither can the increasing
numbers of extra animals in the area. So the SPCA is offering
financial help for spaying and neutering services.
